Bonnie Wenk Park

For nature lovers, the Bonnie Wenk Park offers hiking and biking trails approximately half mile long each. These are smooth board pathways that are well-maintained. Paved trails around the five-acre fishing pond also give you a great opportunity to stroll and enjoy lovely sites of nature. Of course, if you have a fishing license, you can bring your pole and tackle box and catch something special for lunch. More rugged, natural trails wind through the trees and passed several creeks on the property. They also connect up with trails and other nearby parks. The vast green lawns invite you to stop for a picnic or to soak up the sun.
If you are looking for something extra special at the park, consider visiting for a show or class at the open-air amphitheater. Bring your furry friends to the well-equipped and secure dog park complete with splash pad for the hottest Texas weather. Kids of all ages and abilities will find their favorite activity at the huge playground. Smaller spaces for young children exist, but older kids can have more adventurous fun on two-story platforms, zip lines, and more. Adults can visit the fitness court for a bit of alfresco exercise. Instructions for seven healthy movements are printed on the wall, and you can even follow along with a virtual class with the app specifically designed for this location.
